  • Paramedical tattooing is a specialized technique that uses pigment to correct or -improve the appearance of skin conditions such as scars, burns, vitiligo, and hair loss. It is different from traditional cosmetic tattooing in that it focuses on restoring skin tone and texture, rather than enhancing facial features like brows or lips.

  • No. Paramedical tattooing uses different machines, techniques, and pigments specifically formulated for the skin, not body art. The goal is natural-looking, skin-toned results — not bold or decorative designs.

  • Ideal candidates have fully healed and stable skin conditions (e.g., non-spreading vitiligo, mature scars, or healed burns). A consultation is always required to assess skin integrity, medical history, and individual goals.

  • Results typically last 2–5 years, depending on skin type, area treated, lifestyle, and sun exposure. Touch-ups may be needed over time to maintain evenness and tone.

  • Most clients need 2–4 sessions spaced several weeks apart. Some areas, like scalp or beard camouflage, may require fewer visits, while larger or more complex cases (like vitiligo or burn scars) may need more layering.

  • Healing takes 5–14 days, depending on the area treated. Mild redness, sensitivity, or flaking is normal. You'll be given aftercare instructions to support healing and optimal pigment retention.

  • Most clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort rather than pain. Topical numbing cream is applied before and during treatment to keep you as comfortable as possible.

  • Results vary depending on the depth, color, and age of the scar or area. Raised, red, or actively healing scars are not eligible. Your technician will assess the skin in person before proceeding.

  • Light activities are fine, but we recommend avoiding makeup, sweating, swimming, or direct sun exposure for at least 7–10 days. Most clients return to work the same or next day, depending on sensitivity.

  • Yes, with proper training and experience, paramedical tattooing can be done safely on all skin tones. Matching undertones and understanding pigment behavior is key — and part of the specialized process.

  • We’ll need to evaluate the area in person. In many cases, we can work over or around previous work. If the area has saturated or incorrect pigment, removal may be recommended first.
